- This course is required for all volunteers and provides the foundation of service delivery standards for the American Red Cross by considering the Fundamental Principles and Values of the Red Cross and how they would apply throughout the disaster cycle (prepare, respond and recover). Location: Elizabethton Office

- Description:
- This course is designed to prepare volunteers to answer calls from an affected disaster area. Call agents will be able to provide the caller with information about shelter, feeding sites and other resources available in their area. Prerequisites: Intro to Disaster, Fulfilling our Mission, Intermediate Computer Internet skills are required. Location: Kingsport Office

- Prepares students to manage and operate a shelter in a team environment to meet the needs of people affected by a disaster. Prerequisites: Intro to Disaster and Mass Care. Location: Johnson City Office

- This 2-day course prepares volunteers to meet the emergency needs of families on an individual basis. Covers interviewing skills, attitudes, and relationships. Students must attend both days. Prerequisites: Intro to Disaster, Fullling our Mission. Location: Kingsport Office (two days October 21 & 23)
